After reading other people's posts, I see that I'm not the only one that purchased a diamond on their site thinking it was available in their inventory. The next day, I'm told that diamond is not available. I purposely went back to their site after I purchased the diamond to see if the same one was still listed and it was not. What a bunch of garbage.

Placed an order while it's in stock, checked back a day later the status showed ready to ship, confirmation arrived that day saying nothing about product out of stock. Another day later the status became back-ordered, got no apology, not even an email notification about the flip-flop.

I found a stone from the website for about $4000 and placed an order. The second day, I was informed that the stone was not available even though it was listed online when I placed the order. So basically I had wasted a whole afternoon and evening for this.
The CSR explained to me that the database is updated once a day, which I felt really weired for a web-based company. I then talked to a sales manager and he was not more helpful at all. They tried to offer another stone with 0.05 less in weight and one grade down in polish for about $200 less in money and insist that it is a better deal than my previous one.
Overall I was quite disappointed. It sounds to me the stones listed on the webiste are actually from other stores anywhere in the country and the stores are selling the stones for the same time. So even though the website lists a lot of stones, it does not mean they are all actually there for you to choose.
Finally, I cancelled the order. So I cannot comment on the post-shipping experience. But in my exprience the CSRs were not really helpful when things went wrong and this forced me to turn to another vendor.
I won't do business with this company again. But I don't think they are wrose than some car dealers. If you shop on the website, make sure you call the comany first when you see something. Don't waste time in thinking which stone is better --- the stones might not be there at all and you may waste all your time.
Just my 2 cents

Bought a 0.45 carat engagement ring. They have really good price and plenty of collection on diamonds. The only thing I don't like is that searching on their website is a pain. BlueNile does better on this. But, Diamond.com has more competitive price, and more FatCash back. Good shopping experience though.

Got a diamond engagement ring from them. 1 carat, F, VS2, ideal, platinum band. Pretty scared because of dropping 5g's on the item. Some opinions on epinions.com, but that was it.
So I check out the ring online, the website is ok, not as slick as bluenile, but ok. You can't see the GIA reports online so you have to call. There you talk to someone in person and then they email you a PDF copy of the GIA certificate. Diamond.com doesn't own the diamonds they advertise, they just are a middle man. Anyhow they have a 30 day refund policy so I said what the heck.
Purchased the rock w/ a credit card. Got it a week later in a box and special security packing. Immediately took it to certified gemologist. The ring was legit. Plus w/ fatcash, got close to $300 back!
