Ordered a pair of New Balance tennis shoes from Dick's and I'm happy with their service. The shoes arrived within a week of ordering (with the free shipping option). Prices were better than I was able to find elsewhere and they had the specific shoe and size I was looking for in stock -- I had trouble finding these shoes in stock at some other online places.

I ordered a Schwinn 213 exercise bike last week and it arrived quickly but badly damaged. It looked like the bike had been previously returned and they tried to sell it as new. The bike did not fit in the box and the pieces were scattered inside without any foam or other packing materials. The box had multiple holes from some of the bike parts that did not properly fit inside.
I called and customer service told me that it came directly from the manufacturer, which is not true based on the shipping label. I ordered a replacement but have very little confidence that this problem will not occur again.

Ordered a set of golf clubs last week. I was scared because of all the bad ratings I had seen on customer service and delivery. I chose the standard free (7-11 business day) shipping. Item left the warehouse in 2 days and was at my doorstep 3 days after that. PERFECT! I cant comment about the customer service, but delivery was GREAT

The customer services was totally impolite. When I talk with him, he suddenly hang up. Rude customer services!

Order processing is way too slow - 4 days - and then slow boat free shipping. Takes 10 days to 2 weeks to get an order. Terrible.

The customer services was totally unaccaptable. Take 3 weeks to ship out my order and totally refuse to upgrade my shipping. Did not tell poeple the product was in back order while ordering. Customer servies are unhelpful, and unwilling to solve the problem.

I ordered a large heavy piece of exercise equipment from Dicks and it arrived within 3 days of ordering. Shipping charge was only $20 whereas the equivalent shipping was $82.20 on Amazon. Although it looks like other people have had some issues with this vendor I just wanted to say that my experience with them was very positive.

Update:
So I finally get my jersey on the 11th and the jersey is dirty and without any tags. The jersey was just put in a bubblewrap and mailed out without any other protective plastic bag. They will try to send me another one, but there's no assurance that I will get it for the same price I paid for it. This experience is getting worst and worst.

Ordered a world baseball classic jersey which stated that it would be shipped in 7-10 business days. This was in early Feb, it is now the begining of March and it just shipped. I had to call them 5 times before anything was shipped. Each time I called they assured me that a supervisor would look into it and contact me. I never heard from them unless I called. They offered a 20% discount for my troubles which I accepted. At this point 20% might not even be enough to compensate and have me return as a customer.

My experience was terrible.

Ordered on 12/20/2005 - Metal Detector for my niece.

Called and waited 35 minutes to talk to somebody in customer support.

The customer support person assured me the item was in stock and would ship in two days.

The item Never showed up....

called back 1/3/2006 and waited 25 minutes to talk to someone in Customer service.

Customer service person offered to enter a investigation order to find out where the item was.

I declined, because I didn't want to have to call back and wait on hold again.

Even after the order was canceled, the "online" order status showed the order as in stock.

I will not attempt to do any business with DicksSportingGoods.com again.
