AMEN! I, too, used a discount code which was accepted by their system. Only to find out that they removed the discount. Notified of the removal AFTER credit card being charged and merchandise received. Therefore, no time to cancel! DECEPTIVE merchant. Fine if you don't wish to accept a discount code. But do it UP FRONT, not after shipping the merchandise and charging me!

Items received are not the same with the picture on the web, and have worse quality from items on their web as well. What's more, they shipped me the wrong size item. I will never shop there again, even they offer things for free!

They are the worst online retailer that I ever met. I totally put three orders there and all got cancelled. Moreover, I got totally 6 store credit card inviation on smail mail and some other kind of spams. It seems that they are not selling thing at all; they are gathering customer information and selling them to spammers. Shame on them!

spiegel is definitely the worst online merchant I have ever dealt with.
there are hiden handling fees (even not shown in order confirmation email), out-of-stock items are notified after I have placed the order. no one ever reply my complain email. Item received is not the same with the picture on the web ...
I will never shop there again, even they offer things for free!

Very bad experience! They changed my order without asking me first! They didn't send me email confirmation until they shipped it. Thus made no time to cancel... Would never buy from them again.

I ordered a comforter cover and bedskirt in September that showed "in stock". I immediately received an email that said the items were on back order and would not ship until 10/9. Then I received a letter in the mail that said that I could expect them to ship no later than 10/23. I received a final letter from them that said they are completely out of stock and I would not be getting the items, but sent me a 15% off future purchase code. So, I used this code to make a purchase of curtains -- which I received a letter for today saying that they will not be filling the order due to being out of stock.

So, to sum this up: delayed, delayed again, given discount for future order, item that I used discount on will not be shipped. My time was wasted, wasted more, and I got absolutely nothing that I ordered.

Really crappy experience.

Totally agree with other shoppers said! The acknowlegement email and the confirm email showed the wrong info (price, discout, and availableness) about what was shipped to me.

The customer service is slow and not friendly. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!

Beware!!! Don't do business with this company. I bought 5 items for $2.19 each. Speigel upped the price to $219.00 each and now I am battling them to stop sending me demand letters. Speigel's defense: "It says the price is an estimate on your invoice." Ya, from $10.95 to $1095. WITHOUT MY CONSENT THEY CHARGED THIS TO MY CREDIT CARD! Of course the credit card company agreed with me, but that has not stopped Speigel from sending me demand/default notices.

I tried to cancel the payment through MBNA and they said I couldn't but to refuse the package. It ended up costing me over $6.00 for shipping charges with no merchandise"
