Called up my stores and got it confirmed that the ps3 did have a $100 price drop. It seems that it depends on the store, as the article states.

What you can do is do a 110% pricematch at Best Buy, ymmv.

Flame Shields on -> don't reply in this thread on why the PS3 is not worth it, etc. Some people that are looking for a good ps3 deal, here it is. I would try the pricematch before it drops in price nationwide.

Sony is trying to pump up sales. This is a way to get people to buy. For me it's not so much the price of the system, it's the price of the games. When games are $20 I might bite.

What kind of logic is that? This is the reason you kids need to stay in school.

this "kid" is in school. the logic is that the old ps2 games are now $20 each (not all) and if you waited for games to be $20 you would buy the ps2 roughly around this time.

perhaps you also went to school but this "kid" probably attended/attending higher level of education...like college?

if you can not make the connection, maybe you should go to school more.
