Skype Adapter for PC or Macs(less than $20 after rebate)
EDIT: Price went up.
This adapter works with other VoIP services, including Yahoo, MSN, and some SIP.
Here is a link to the list of all software it supports: Yealink Drivers
COUPON: A 10% Coupon is emailed inside your invoice for use on a 2nd order. Anything Hot?
Alternative: MobiVOX.com is a free service which allows you to dial into a local access number from several countries and make free voice calls to any Skype user. It can be viewed as a free alternative to SkypeIn in certain cases, as well as the adapter described in this thread. They also have a fair-use plan which allows free international and domestic long distance phone-to-phone calls between MobiVOX.com users.
I got one of these last time and have it hooked to a multi-line phone and it works great. Got my rebate too.
Edit - make that a multi-handset phone.
You made the adapter work on more than one line?

Let me change that to multi-handset phone, sorry.
No worries... my house is new and the way they did the wiring (beyond my tech expertise) I hooked up the B2K directlty to the wall jack and all my phones in the house can use Skype.

Does it work with VoIP services, like internetcalls ?
This requires your computer to be on all the time, correct? (connects to USB).
It works with Yahoo, MSN, and some SIP based like SJPhone and CounterPath... it is a Yealink product, and you can find all compatiable services at their website.

So, basically if I have X-Pro working with my USB phone (AU-100), this should work as well ?
Sorry for noob question, but this phone advertised as Skype phone, I was wondering if I can use it for "real" voip ![]()

Yep - it does require computer to be on and connected. If your computer is off - you would still be able to receive PSTN calls.
thanks for the deal.. Apparently works under linux too. This gives me so many ideas

Not much, but don't forget the 5% coupon ("alien") as shown on their website.

Read the rebate terms it says u can use website coupons or other promotions in combination also you have to make an account on the website i.e. you cant use google checkout etc
I actually tried to use Google checkout. It did not work at all. Says "oooops" ![]()
Last time, I used the coupon but they didnt unvalidate the rebate... they just sent the difference so that the total equalled the rebate amount.

they have a great deal on the netgear SPH101 after $50 rebate ($119.88) this is a pc free solution, works as long as your wireless connection is up. or from any wireless hotspot! It has internal memory to hold the Skype software, account info, and phone list.
Sweet! I got a 10% coupon code in my email box after I placed the first order! This makes the 101 deal smokin.
I would give out the code, but it says "One time use only" on it.
Thanks!

That's odd. I read the terms, and it says "u CANNOT" combine discounts... One of us is in the Twilight Zone. Gosh, I sure hope it isn't me.
