The free PT-70BM labelmaker code works for P-touch 1280 (sku599336)too. But online price is $44.99 with a $25 rebate (08-24963), while instore price is $5 cheaper. Limit 10 per household. I got them instore for $14.99 + tax AR for both PT-1280 and PT-70BM.

How did you use the free code in store?

Average price for the refill tape for this labeler is $27... It's only a good deal if you plan to use the starter roll and throw it away.

Actually, single rolls of laminated tape run between $15 and $18, even at Staples. A roll is ~26 feet -- that's lots of labels. I've gotten them cheaper at Sam's -- about $28 for 3 rolls of 26' each. The starter roll in these is half normal size -- about 13'. The non-laminated tape for the PT-70 is even cheaper.

Staples SKU for 1/2" black on clear tape @$17.99 for PT-1880: 486761 Link
Staples SKU for 1/2" black on white non-laminated tape 2 pack @$19.49 for PT-70: 676701 Link

Staples sent me the email to look at their weekly ad online, and while doing that I printed out the shopping list off Staples site with those two labelmakers( one clearly marked FREE labelmaker), and manually mark down the code 79992 that's shown on their online checkout (or from OP), then I handed my Staples shopping list to the cashier and he applied it for me.

Oh their list comes with picture of the free labeler, and the valid dates of offer (Jul 6-12) and description of: label maker FREE with the purchase of All advertised Brother printers, all-in-ones, fax machines or labelers. Hope this helps.

Trouble is, there aren't any rebate offers associated with the Easy Rebate ID
