It's back!

Get an Intel E8400 Wolfdale 3.0ghz CPU and a Modular 700W Thermaltake Powersupply from Newegg when you buy the combo. It's $199.99 after a $50 MIR for the PS. Use CashBack from Microsoft Live to take off another 3%.

The E8400 itself is $169.99 and the PS is usually over $100, so this combo + rebate rox.

I jumped on this the last time it was available (w/ 5.5% CB from Live), now it's back.

Do we have a promotional code for an additional 20% off of Thermaltake power supply, like last time ?

As of yet I don't think so. That 20% off made me buy last time. The deal is still pretty sweet, even without the code.

Man...I just got the e7200 from MC for 105...is it worth the time and effort to sell the PS and e7200 to upgrade to the e8400?

You can return the E7200 to MC and then buy this deal for the E8400. Depends on what you're going to do. The E7200 is fine for almost all basic tasks. If you want to game, get the E8400. I know what MC's return policy says, but they'll take it back even if it's opened. Check out tomshardware.com for a benchmark and comparisons of CPUs. Unless you wanted this PS, I'd stick with the E7200.

Really? they'll take it back? their return policy is that they won't accept returns unless it's defective...

What can I say to have them return it? (i.e. it won't work with my system, it won't boot...)

Depends on how long ago you bought it. W/in 30 days, you could most likely take it back. What you tell them is up to you.

Microcenter's policy on CPUs is equal exchange only, IIRC.

Last off topic comment...so if I wanted to change out my current e7200 with another e7200, that would be ok? (I'm hoping they have an A series, not B)

Got this deal for $159 shipped last time (w/ CashBack, promo, rebate, etc.). So while $200 is good, I'm holdin' out for the possibility of another promo. Newegg CashBack may even be higher by then (it's been moving back up recently).
