Link didn't work for me.

Ack. No links working... putting them in manually...

Try this: http://www.ZipZoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10008506&prodlist=celebros

And why not buy this one

http://www.ZipZoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=10008890&prodlist=celebros

for $110 less and only 4 GB less of an SSD? Not thread-crapping, just asking.

if i'm comparing the two above links, it seems there is only a $10 difference. with the 901, and 1000 units, i wonder if these (900) will be discounted even more over the next few months...

900 is actually slightly better because they both have the 16gb ssd and it is of the cheap and slow variety, where as that extra 4gb with the 900 (for OS) is much faster, google is your friend.

From what I've read, the 9 inch eee pc only expanded the screen (by moving the speakers) over the screen size of the 7 inch. The keyboard is not any bigger than the keyboard on the 700. If that's the case, the 900 series might not be any better than, say, the Acer Aspire One. I have the 7" Asus, and I like it, but the keyboard is very small.

Yes you can get larger batteries. This is an article about them, however you can probably only find them on eBay and it might be difficult to get this exact one.

900 vs. 901

...Most people are familiar with PCMark05 as a benchmarking tool for a computer’s processor. In MiniPCPro’s test, the 900MHz Eee PC 900 managed a PCMark05 score of 1440, while the 1600MHz Eee PC 901 summoned 1496, just 96 points more. The difference between the two actually shows up in the graphic card performance: far smoother video playback and 3D rendering from the 901, as well as better handling of moving windows around.

While a minor increase in PCMark05 score might be cause for some to hold off the 901, the other testing suggests that real-world practicality is off the scale compared to the original 900...

Also take into account that even though the Atom doesn't do a much better job on PCMark05, it's using less power to do it...Which correlates to longer battery life AND less heat.
