In the Mid 60's Lisa was born on the Southside of Chicago to Stan & Sandra her Parents. As a child she attended Antioch Baptist church, and it was there where she found she had the love of God and Music in her Soul. She was baptized at the young age of 14 and begun her journey singing in the choir. Amazingly enough to her, she found that she had the ability to make an effect musically on others and make them listen. As a teenager she would sing in church every Sunday and occasionally go to other churches and sing as well. In the Mid 80's she joined the military and in Germany joined a small music band in her unit. And the birth of her daughter Ashley Rene in Frankfurt Germany was a great blessing to her.
After her tour in Germany, she then again moved to Chicago.....
But after a short time there she decided to find a new place to live....So she moved to California with her Father & Daughter Ashley. Upon her move, it seemed California was the place. California seemed to be filled with Music, opportunity, and sunshine. Early on, she started a group by the Name of Style, with Johnny McLeod, Gladys as the Fashion Guru and John and Rod singing backup. From there she joined a group by the name of Saturn. They played and toured all over Los Angeles, and even sang for Marla Gibbs at her private club called "Marla's Memory Lane". But after a couple of years the members of the band had personal things happening and ultimately they disbanded. Presently, Lisa Marie is working solo, producing her 2nd Jazz CD and working on a Music oriented T.V show that will be airing soon...Her CD will be released soon.
