5/18: WOW! I emailed Alcon asking if they could send me a sample of their disinfecting solution (switching due to the B&L problems). I never received a reply. FedEx just showed up with a 4oz bottle of Opti-Free Replenish!

Warning !!! On April 10, 2006, Bausch & Lomb announced suspension of shipments of its contact solution ReNu with MoistureLoc. Reports of fungal keratitis infections in users of the solution are surfacing in contact lens wearers who use ReNu with MoistureLoc.
I seen this last night on the news and here is a link to read more about it.

Please read the thread, and then the posted links. There is another thread with discussion regarding the "outbreak" of eye infections. The purpose of this thread is to get a refund for the lens solution or a coupon for a free bottle of ReNu solution (which has not been linked to any problems).

From meeting with my eye dr he said that this is nothing to worry about... its people not following the directions on the label... i.e. leaving the solution in the contact case for days (if not weeks) on end and reusing the cleaner every day... so yea if your that stupid to reuse the solution day after day you deserve what you get
