Amish man's new miracle idea helps home heat bills hit rock bottom

Miracle heaters being given away free with orders for real Amish fireplace mantles to launch the new invention that slashes heat bills, but Amish craftsmen under strain of Christmas rush impose household limit of 2

Saves money: uses less energy than a coffee maker, so leave it on day and night and never be cold again

(UMS) Everyone hates high heat bills. But we're all sick and tired of turning down the thermostat and always being cold.

Well now, brand new HEAT SURGE miracle heaters are actually being given away free to the general public for the next two days starting at precisely 8:00 a.m. today.

The only thing local readers have to do is call the National Distribution Hotline before the 48 hour deadline with their order for the handmade Amish Fireplace Mantles. Everyone who does is instantly being awarded the miracle heaters absolutely free.

This is all happening to launch the new HEART SURGE Roll-n-Glow Amish Fireplace that actually rolls from room so you can take the heat with you anywhere. That way, everyone who gets them first can immediately start saving on their heat bills.

For the first time ever, portable Amish fireplace are being delivered directly to the doors of all those who beat the deadline.

These miracle fireplaces have what's being called the 'Fireless Flame' technology that gives you the peaceful flicker of a real fire but without any flames, fumes, smells, ashes or mess. Everyone is getting them because they require no chimney and no vent. You just plug them in.

The Fireless Flame looks so real it fools everybody but it has no real fire. So what's the catch? Well, the soft spoken Amish craftsmen who hand make the mantles are imposing a strict household limit of 2 during the strain of the Christmas rush.

"We can barely keep up ever since we started giving heaters away free. Now that it's really getting cold outside, everyone's trying to get them. Amish craftsmen are working their fingers to the bone to be sure everyone gets their delivery in time for Christmas," confirms Timothy Milton, National Shipping Director.

"These portable Roll-n-Glow Fireplaces are the latest home decorating sensation. They actually give you a beautifully redecorated room while they quickly heat from wall to wall. It's the only way to dress up every room, stay really warm and slash your heat bills all at the same time," says Josette Holland, Home Makeover Expert to the rich and famous.

And here's the best part. Readers who beat the 48-hour order deadline are getting their imported hi-tech miracle heaters free when encased in the real Amish built solid wood fireplace mantles. The mantles are being handmade in the USA right in the heart of Amish country where they are beautifully hand-rubbed, stained and varnished.

You just can't find custom made Amish mantles like this in the national chain stores. That makes the solid oak mantle a real steal for just two hundred ninety-eight dollars since the entire cost of the miracle heater is free.

This free giveaway is the best way to finish all of your holiday shopping, because it's one of the year's hottest Christmas gifts. The HEAT SURGE Roll-n-Glow Fireplace gives you all the beauty and warmth of a built-in fireplace but it can also save you a ton of money on heating bills.

Even people in California and Florida are flocking to get them so they may never have to turn on their furnace all winter. And since it uses less energy than a coffee maker the potential savings are absolutely incredible.

"We are making sure no one gets left out, but you better hurry because entire communities of Amish craftsmen are straining to keep up with Christmas orders. For now, we have to turn away dealers in order to let readers of today's newspaper have two per household just as long as they call before the deadline," confirms Milton.

It's a really smart decision to get tow right now because for only the next 48 hours you get both miracle heaters free. That's like putting five hundred bucks right in your pocket and you can save even more money on your monthly heating bills.

"Everyone's calling to get one but those who are getting their shopping done are surprising the whole family by getting two. So when lines are busy keep trying or log onto

amishfireplaces.com. We promise to get to every call. Then we can have a delivery truck out to your door right away with your beautiful Amish made Roll-n-Glow Fireplace," Milton said.

"You'll instantly feel bone soothing heat in any room. You will never have to be cold again," he said.

Sounds like a scam to me.

alert mods

I don't think it's a scam.

More of a satire on scam, no one would be dumb enough to see this as a real ad.

alert mods

I really hope your other 1043 posts weren't as useless as this one.

First of all, if it's not a scam, it's a satire. But there's no way this can be real. None of it actually says how the thing works, besides the fact that it takes in air, passes it through a turbine, and shoots it back out. I don't see the genius.

Also, they keep saying how it's free if you call in time, but it appears that it's really only free if you buy a "mantle" that goes with it? Without that, it's $249.

Besides that, this website doesn't seem like the most reliable source of news that I've ever seen, so good luck with that.

Joke or scam? Either way, it definitely shouldn't be taken seriously.

okee...which sentence did you stop reading the Op? You read the whole post? Heh, heh, heh, hooooo...what is there to say?

this part should make you skeptical:

"It uses less energy than it takes to run a coffee maker. Yet, it produces an amazing 5,119 BTU's."

Wikipedia states:

"1000 BTU/h is approximately 293 W"

so 5,119 BTU for one hour is 1.5KW, or the same as most hair dryers and electric heaters. I suppose a coffee maker may also use that much or more if its on for an hour to boil that much water for coffee.

My gAWD, it's a real scam ad.

here's your history lesson for the day: amish people, for the most part, don't have electricity in their homes.

here's your geography lesson for the day: "HEAT SURGE miracle heater is a work of engineering genius from the China coast so advanced,....."

amish people don't live in china. they live in the u.s.a and canada

At best its a wooden faux fireplace with electric logs inside and a fan. HD, Lowes, Target etc all have these for $249 to $499, the smaller black ones are onsale at Harbor Frt for $99 all the time. and they use the same amount of electriciy as the amazing chinese UL turbine from the coast or whater. You cannot buy an electric 120 volt heater that is more than 1500 watts per hour (maybe a couple are 1650 watts. Do the Amish really build the mantelpiece? I don't know.....

alert mods

Total scam.

Amish and electricity don't even mix.
Amish and new technology don't even mix either.

-------------------------------------------------------
From links similar to those shown in other postings:

Why Amish don't use electricity
As Christians, they believe that modern conveniences are a way of conforming to the world which God instructed us not to do, and that the conveniences also keep us from spending time with God. As a modern Christian, I of course respect the Amish, although I'm not quite sure if God meant not to use conveniences, as long as we make room for him.

Many people don't understand why the Amish don't use electricity and find it difficult to relate to this type of lifestyle. The Amish have purposely chosen to live their lives separated from the rest of the world at large. While they are not totally isolated from society, they are about as isolated from the influences of modern technology as any group of people can be. The Amish do not accept the use of electricity because they consider it to be a direct connection to the very world that they are trying to avoid. When electric lines began making their way across the country and into every home and business around the world, the Amish made a very conscious decision to not allow electric lines to be brought into their homes and businesses. Because electricity comes from a main power grid that connects all the lines together, the Amish decided this was a connection to the evils of the modern world and chose not to be a part of it. The fact that they have stuck to their guns for the past one hundred years or so shows their tenacity and strength of conviction and faith.

Over the years, the Amish have come up with some pretty inventive ways to compensate for their lack of electric equipment. For instance, Amish dairies rely on the sale of milk and dairy products to the surrounding community to sustain themselves. When the government began regulating dairy production, they required that all dairy farmers refrigerate their milk while it was being stored on the farm. This was a major problem for the Amish farmers because they were prohibited by the Amish church from using electric powered milk coolers. So, instead they found that they could use diesel generators to power the milk coolers to keep the milk properly refrigerated. At some point, the Amish realized that the generators could also be used to compress air which was stored in tanks to be used for powering water pumps while they were still being used to power the milk coolers. This meant that the Amish no longer needed to rely on windmills to get their water pumped from the wells. This compressed air idea was then expande and today the Amish use compressed air to run washing machines, sewing machines, hand mixers, blenders, and power tools. In addition, the diesel generators are also used to charge car batteries which the Amish use to power headlights and taillights on their buggies, which are now required by law. These portable batteries are also used to power smaller appliances such as sewing machines used to make Amish quilts, fans, glue guns, and even cash registers in the Amish family businesses.

O.K. the Amish Live in the U.S.A. and do not use electricity, the Mantles are supposedly what they contribute to the electrical product from China. You can purchase the fireplace for the same price (not free) without the mantlepiece if you wish to make your own mantle. So where is the deal, and is the electricity cost the same as a coffee pot that you make your morning coffee with? Or one in a restaurant, on all dayand heavy duty. I say its a SCAM!

diesel generators are electricity. a non-renewable resource.

or are they just using some R-134a aircon compressors powered off a diesel motor? did they just take the wheels off a refrigeration truck and call it a day

Your great-grandparents had a $0 electricity bill, had a $0 auto insurance bill, had a $0 health care insurance premium. And they live well enough to procreate. (Although maybe they should not have.) "New miracle ideas" are usually just old ideas, "rediscovered" and exploited.

Non-oil based heating residential systems have existed for centuries (can't spell millennia). Study history (or sociology or whatever the BA majors call it) and VIOLA!, thousands of new miracle ideas. Commercially exploitable ideas that have never been disclosed before (cough cough at least not in this millennia).

67 MPG cars existed DECADES and DECADES before hybrids. (I test drove one 24 years ago, and bought it, only to have it "post-pre-sold" to a more connected customer. Honda. Never again.) However lazy Americans prefer over-weight bloated cars with over-powered engines. Expect to see lightweight limited feature cars to be "newly invented" in the 2010s.

NASA is reverse engineering 1960s rocket technology that was never properly documented, because rockets worked better 40 years ago, than can be designed now. (An indication the Congress has stunted Engineering in America with its H1 and L1 work visa programs).

Scams are also nothing new. Scams have been well documented in History books, dating back hundreds of years. Even then, they were old rediscovered schemes, but American public education does not teach history that far back.

hahaha ... sorry to TJ but,
from washingtonpost: Foreign-born researchers are common in the U.S. academic and scientific communities. In fact, more than a third of American Nobel laureates in the sciences over the last 15 years were born outside the U.S.
Immigrants have won 32 percent of the U.S. Nobel Prizes for physics, 31 percent of the medicine and economics prizes, and 26 percent of the chemistry prizes.

Heres a recent Wall Street Journal Editorial:
American Brain Drain
The Wall Street Journal: November 30, 2007; Page A16

One myth dogging the immigration debate is that employers are fibbing (or grossly exaggerating) when they claim that hiring foreign professionals is unavoidable because U.S.-born Ph.D.s are hard to come by. But a new report on doctorates from U.S. universities shows they're telling the truth, and then some.

Foreign-born students holding temporary visas received 33% of all research doctorates awarded by U.S. universities in 2006, according to an annual survey by the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago. That number has climbed from 25% in 2001. But more to the point of business competitiveness, foreign students comprised 44% of science and engineering doctorates last year.

"China was the country of origin for the largest number of non-U.S. doctorates in 2006," says the report, followed by India, Korea, Taiwan and Canada. "The percentage of doctorates earned by U.S. citizens ranged from lows of 32% in engineering and 47% in physical sciences, to highs of 87% in education and 78% in humanities." Given this reality, is it any wonder that 40% of Ph.D.s working in U.S. science and engineering occupations are foreign-born?

Immigration opponents still claim that the likes of Intel and Oracle merely want to hire Chinese engineers on the cheap. In fact, U.S. law already prohibits companies from paying these foreign nationals less than natives. And all other things being equal, the American job applicant has an advantage because employers are required to pay an additional $4,000-$6,000 in taxes and fees on every H-1B visa holder they hire.

A mere 65,000 H-1B visas for foreign professionals are allocated each year. And this year, as in the previous four, the quota was exhausted almost as soon as the applications became available in April. This effectively means that more than half of all foreign nationals who earned advanced degrees in math and science in 2007 have been shut out of the U.S. job market.

Economic protectionists oppose lifting the visa cap to meet demand. But it makes little sense for our universities to be educating these talented foreign students, only to send them packing after graduation. Current policies have MIT and Stanford educating the next generation of innovators -- and then deporting them to create wealth elsewhere.

Closing the door to foreign professionals puts U.S. companies at a competitive disadvantage and pushes jobs out of the country. Worse, it does so at a time when other nations are rolling out the welcome mat. Earlier this year Microsoft, which is the third-largest sponsor of H-1B visas, announced plans to open a new software development center near Vancouver. The decision to locate the facility in Canada was based in part on the fact that it doesn't have access to enough foreign workers state-side.

"We currently do 85% of our development work in the U.S., and we'd like to continue doing that," says Jack Krumholtz, the company's director of government affairs. "But if we can't hire the developers we need, . . . we're going to have to look to other options to get the work done." Meanwhile, the European Union recently introduced its own new temporary work visa that's designed to reduce red tape and waiting periods for foreign professionals.

If the U.S. spurns this human capital, it will find a home somewhere else. And that will be America's loss.

Heres another Duke study / Wall Street Journal:
Immigrant Innovators
Start-up engineering and technology companies that had at least one immigrant founder produced $52 billion sales in 2005 and employed about 450,000 workers, according to a study by researchers at the University of California at Berkeley and Duke University.

The study surveyed 28,776 engineering and technology firms that were started between 1995 and 2005, and found that one-quarter had either a chief executive or a chief technology officer who is an immigrant. Of those, one-quarter had Indian-born founders. The biggest share of the start-ups is in California, where almost 40% of new engineering and technology companies have immigrant founders.

The study also found that 24% of international patent applications by U.S.-based inventors were filed by noncitizens. That’s up from 1998, when 7% of patent applications had a foreign inventor or co-inventor. The Berkeley and Duke authors said they reached that conclusion by analyzing World Intellectual Property Organization records for international patent filings by U.S.-resident inventors.

look up into Grassley Bill that failed and search up from DHS; you will see how many cases of fraud under H1-B were done amaazingly low number: Heres Dept. of Labor stats: back wages owed to H-1B hires amounted to just $4.6 million in 2006, down from $5.2 million the previous year. In a $12 trillion economy, those numbers are infinitesimal. Department of Labor investigations reveal that some 90% of violations are paperwork offenses and good-faith misunderstandings.

so no major fraud cases either ... merry christmas and a happy new year!

I researched more about this company-scam. I tried calling their customer service # (800-924-7964) the same day I ordered my heaters, to cancel my order but couldn't get through to anyone after being left on hold for 35 minutes so I called my credit card to told them about this scam.

My credit card agreed to cancel my credit card # I gave them in order to avoid their charge. I had to get a new credit card # with Visa, this was the only way I could avoid being charged for the 2 heaters I ordered! Don't get caught up in this scam!

This is a real company. The thing must work because they ship out 17 to 18 trailers full of them everyday. They are built in a small town in Ohio. The parent Company Patent Health also sells coins through world reserve monetary exchange and health supplements through the parent name. And Universal Media Syndicate markets everything, again another company owned by Patent Health. So again, not really a scam I just think they look cheesy, but if you do not care about looks, I heard they work.
