My wifes compaq computer stopped working friday after 6 years. We decied that it was time for a new computer. The hard drive was not the reason for the failure. I pulled the hard drive and put it in an external encloseure that I had so that I could pull the emails and links she had saved. I have been all over the drive and searched and cannot find the the files and links. I found the old IE links she had but not the Firefox links. What file or whatever do I need to search for to find this information. Email addresses, emails and bookmarks/favorites are what I want to recover.

The operating system is windows XP
The web browser is Firefox
The email program is Thunderbird

And if I forgot anything please forgive me, this is first post on this forum. I did read the help guides.

Ellory beat me to posting this by 2 minutes

OP, also checkout MozBackup to keep your firefox/thunderbird info backed up on a regular basis in the future...

Good luck,

Mark

P.S. this same question gets asked routinely... Maybe we need to make a sticky for this, or add it to another existing one???

edit: just added this to the Guide to getting your files back from a broken computer.

Sorry, I should have searched. I did not think of that.
