§§ To qualify for this offer, your new account must be used to make any purchase or cash advance transactions (including balance transfers; which may include transaction fees) within 45 days of your account open date. Limit one (1) item per new account. The Schwab Bank credit card offer is subject to application approval by MBNA America Bank, N. A. Upon qualifying, a $100 Visa Gift card will be mailed to you in 8–12 weeks. Visa Gift card is issued by MBNA. Monthly card maintenance fees of $2.50 per month waived the first 6 months after the card issue date. Additional terms and conditions apply to Gift card.

Visa Gift card offer is not available to New York residents

Based on the previous ($150) deal: during the regular business hours, you can call them right after you've submitted your application and they are likely to transfer you to the credit analyst for an instant decigion.
or call 1-888-279-7538 to check the status if you apply online (thanks Betty0815 & pilsungk!)
or call 1-800-932-2775 (found on MBNA.com) you should say that you've applied more than 30 days ago, otherwise you won't reach a CSR.

I did $150 deal and still have my Schwab Card open. Applied for this one and got approved.

As of 1/19 the GG57 Promo Code was still valid if you call the above numbers.

thanks OP, hope they can deliver

Not available in NY, why is this? Is it because Charles Chucky Cheese Schumer make a big thing out of the fees companies charge on Gift Cards?

Sorry my mistake it's UPS service not USPS
FYI , Last time they were delivered by UPS service

Thanks OP, I'll forward it to my friends who did not take advantage of $150 GC offer

Not in my case (live in NJ).

$150 GCs from the previous deal were delivered via UPS.
One package got sent back because I was on vacation. They've promised to resend it.

Schwab card is useful for travel - no currency exchange surcharge.

Is this the same offer as the $150? Thanks

$100 is still pretty good!

Yeah why are us New Yorkers getting stiffed on these awesome sign up bonuses!?

I already closed the account from the previous promotion ($150). Anyone know if I can apply and get this reward again?

See related issues on opening and closing credit accounts here and here.

Closing credit card accounts may not be good for your FICO score. See here.

Actually I shoud have said that I transfered all the credit line to my AAA card and closed the schwab card. So my total credit line is still the same. Closing credit card should not lower my credit score but opening a new one will reduce about 2-3 points. I will call them to verify if I am still eligible for this gift card.

Suggest that you just apply, not even mentioning the closed account unless they bring it up.

I hope that doesn't mean NO. I haven't applied for any sort of credit since October/2004.

Anyone have any idea how long I should wait before I call?

It (the application process) was discussed here. The phone number for application is the same as before. The status number used to be 888-279-7538. In short, it does not mean NO. Call the status line after 1-2 weeks. Good luck!

It means they need to manually review your application. If they deny you and you have another account with MBNA you can simply ask to reallocate your credit lines to open this account. That's what I had to do to open my $150 Schwab card account.

Are you sure? Even if you do the online app? I could use another free $200...

Called the 866-724-9223 on the website. Ten minute application process ended with being approved for a 2nd card (1st was with $150). She wanted to know my interest in the card because I haven't been using the first. Of my original 12K credit line, she took 6K away for this new card so now I have two with 6K each.

Painless procedure, card will arrive in 5-7 business days.

There are pros and cons to do online applications. One of the disadvantages is that they may just decline the application without one's clarification (say due to previously closed account).
