For those of you who are waiting for September 1st so that you can receive your free annual credit report from the three major reporting agencies, your wait is over. Annualcreditreport.com is now active for VA/MD/DC residents and I assume the rest of the East Coast. Visit www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/freerepalrt.htm for confirmation that this is the correct site.

Works today for NJ (if it didn't already work a few days prior)!

Got mine from equifax. I'll use the other two agencies at some later point, if need be, this way I can have a free credit report 3x a year.
