Looks a good card for college student (see below). Unfortunately, I just graduated. I already have 4 citi cards (including citi shell and ATT card). Is there still possibility to get another one (I am not a heavy user.)

Application is here

You must become a member and then sign into cardoffers.com to get the $33 signup bonus reported by FatsWalleter: Become a member and sign in at cardoffers.com, click Cash Rewards, and under Select by Category click Student. Then click Citi?mtvU?Platinum Select?Visa?Card for College Students .

In fact the $33 may be $43 for some, as there seems to be a $10 bonus for new cardoffers.com members.

Sign up for online only statements and receive a $5 statement credit. (Might be dead - YMMV)

You cannot get this card if your total debt(clarification) on all your revolving credit lines is above $10,000. They will not care about the amount of income you have. -Rushnrockt

Great deal. I just applied for one of these last week, already having 2 other Citi cards. Haven't heard anything yet...

Does anyone know of a way to check application status, short of calling Citi?

I don't know if there is a limit on the number of cards you have, but I think there is a limit on your credit line. Over the years I've had several Citibank cards, all of which have been consolidated into one - their Platinum Dividend card. As the accounts are consolidated, all the credit was added to the one open account. When I applied for the mtvU card a month or two ago, they called and said I was approved, but I'd have to transfer some of the credit from the Dividend card to the mtvU card. Apparently I had reached the "limit". Might be the case for some of you as well.

Citi limits you to 4 of their cards IIRC.

I already reach the limit. I think it is around $20,000.

You can always call and see if it is possible to convert one of your existing Citi cards to the MTVu card.

5% back on movies is pretty unique.

Does anyone know what I have to do to get the 2k points for GPA? It didn't seem to say in any of the stuff they sent me.

If you apply for this cc on the beachs of panama city during spring break they give you a free brown or pink mtvU t-shirt...

Another topic worth mentioning.

I need a CC but I can't decide whether the mtvu or citi platinum dividend is better. I mainly want to get free air miles and get a free trip. I was thinking about getting the CPD and then later apply for Delta Skymiles or the Citi "air miles" card. Another thing to consider is that the mtvu is fee free and Delta charges $75 on the second year. My budget is less than 7 k a year.

Just a FYI for those with this card (Citi mtvU) who would like to submit their transcripts - the address is below:

Citi mtvU Redemption Center
P.O. Box 142319
Irving, TX 75014-2319

I had the hardest time getting that address. I was transferred three times and waited for probably 30 minutes.

What do you have to include? Just your account (card) number/name?

Also, do you know if an unofficial transcript is ok or do we have to send an official one (which costs $)?

You have to pay for your transcripts? My university will print for free... I would assume that you would need the official, but you can call and ask.
You need to send account number with transcript and a letter simply stating that you would like (insert amount based on GPA) points.

My school charges $6 for an official transcript (also, it takes like 3 weeks). We get our grades online, so perhaps I can just print out the webpage with them.

Know if there is requirement on the classes that have to be on there? I took 2 classs over the summer and got a 4.0. Might be worth me digging it out to get them points.
