Sorry for this question but I do not understand what you are saying. Are you saying that it is to good to be true (meaning that it not true). Or are you saying that it is true/

Thanks

Two issues:

Requires direct deposit & have to use check card 10X per month. I prefer to use credit cards. For the most part, a great deal though!

I have the same two issues.

Though, for folks with DD and who use check cards, this looks like a winner.

The check card is not a big deal if you buy your lunch. I buy a salad everyday, so I would just need to use the card for two weeks every month. I would not be missing out on a large amount of Cash Back either.

Does anyone have experience with this bank? Are their rates historically high?

From my understanding. There rates have always been in the top tier( maybe not the best but in that catagory). Again this is just my understanding. I think that this might be a perfect main online checking account. I mean they just have so many different stuff.

It seems like not to many people have expearnce with this bank, so I guess my question should be are there any other banks that can compare to this one.

I also found this thread under fat wallet disscusion about CNBT. I believe it is dated some time in jan 2005. I am posting this ( not because nobody could find it) because it atleast give you a idea and a chance to compare the APY from cnbt and a few other banks at that time from a year ago ( almost).

I found this, but it is kind of old:

I chatting with a service rep online yesterday to try and get a fee schedule, or just something more detailed than their main "sell". I am not sure she knew what I meant, and said the were "no fees". Anyway, she is mailing me the "disclosures". She said there was unlimited ATM reimbursement. She said the disclosures she is sending would have any info such as wire transfer fees, early account closure, etc... If anyone finds it on their site, please post the link.

I received the discloser agrement in my e-mail the other day. I would post it if I could Seems interesting

I sent you a pm.

If only this account had rewards on it's debit card.......

alert mods

Closed mine 2 years ago. DD wasnt required back then, and only 4 debit card charges were required. As you can see, they frequently change the T&Cs, and grandfathering under older terms required intervention to remind them.

Hmm, they do seem to seemingly refund all ATM fee, but I find it hard to believe that it will be unlimited. Using BofA 15 times a month, and that comes to $22.50

Are you saying their customer service was not the best? Were you generally unhappy with the account?

alert mods

Except for the ATM rebates, Presidential Bank is better. More like a real checking account with mailed statement including returned checks.

Open the account the other day so far so good.
