Pretty low instant acceptance rate, but that seems like the norm on these. I'm just hoping I can pick up a few more cards, especially from issuers which I don't have cards with so that they can mature. It looks like I will able to perform a small (<$10,000) BT with Citi once I shift lines around, which isn't much for most of you, but it's still free money.

I plan on applying for the bank rewards on Dec 30 (right before chase expires) in hopes that most applications will be done with my CR by then.

Also, I didn't apply for any BOA cards because I didn't want to try to jeopordize my billpay since that is VERY handy. An extra month of that saves me from entering all of my account information in another bill pay system for another month .

I was wondering if it is common for Citibank to let you "customize" your card before you even are given approval. Is this a good sign, or do they just hope you sign up for something that costs you money?

Also, the AMEX Tiger Direct Application gave me a java script error when I submitted, but checking the status on AMEX website says it's an instant approval, just waiting on the credit limit.

12-20 I went through BOA and Citi to do Credit Line Increase Requests Today. I had previously checked on Citi and BOA before for a non hard pull increase, but there wasn't any and didn't realize that filling out the form on BOA doesn't result in a IQ. Anyways, I requested 6,000 extra for each previous card from Citi and Balances of total credit of 15,000 and 20,000 for BOA. Got instantly accepted for the MTVu and 15,000 on BOA. Now I'm waiting on the others.

01-31 Well I think pretty much everything has passed through by now. I'm still waiting on the Premier Pass, ATT, and Discover cards because I had to send in information to verify my address. Even if I don't get those, I think I've done pretty well. I tripled my available credit and have the opportunity to do a $23k no fee BT with Citi for about 22 months (12 months Professional/12 months AT&T). With the current HSBC rate, that should net me over $1k in the first year. Also, my scores have not moved much due to inquiries and new cards, but I'm sure they will drop when the BT posts.

02-02 Happy Groundhog Day! I just received the PremierPass and At&T cards in the mail and updated the credit lines. Looks like I will be able to do a sizeable (>$20K) BT with Citi.

Of the cards you will be using for BT, what is your target utilization?

Good luck with engineering that grad student!

I'm planning on staying under 80% on each card.

Good luck timo. Funny that you and me have the same exact Citi CC profile haha

What kind of new CLs are you getting with the cards?

I hope someone will be able to use the data presented in this to help them on their future AOR and I'll be sure to update the credit scores after the BT posts.
