What exactly did you say, and how did you end up talking to a supervisor?Like lhendricks92, I am curious for details...
How old is your Cambridge Trust account with ELAN?
Do you have other ELAN cards?
How does your profile look (bureau)? In the middle of an AOR with poor scores or are you now "debt" free?
Are you able to see whether ELAN pulls soft monthly account reviews of you?
Congrats..... Please follow up here confirming whether what was promised actually works out for you.
The BT came through. I think this is hit or miss. People in the background were having a good time, and the CSR said "Let me ask my supervisor." I asked and she said no hard pull. There was a period of silence, then she asked about the weather, we joked a little, and then she said OK.
The account is 5 1/2 mos old; I paid it off a couple of weeks early as I was emptying out an account. Don't know my scores, but I'm pretty sure they suck. I'm showing 86k on one card alone, & about 120k total on others. Just paid off Am3x 68k, so I'm sure that was showing also. Pre-AOR 790's.
Don't know about soft pulls, as I don't monitor mid-cycle. One other Elan card 10k limit used for biz ~1k/mo paid in full each month.
The other thing she said was that this had to go to ONE biz card, and then no more deals for me. Fortunately, it was a perfect fit. I had a sweet offer on an existing card mid-cycle last year which was coming due. I certainly wouldn't depend on this, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Probably the most important thing was the general mood in their office at the time. Maybe it's possible with a smaller bank to try and catch them with their donuts?
