Star Wars, LEGO, Nerf and Disney Frozen battle for “under the tree” bragging rights for the best Black Friday Toy Deals.
Toys are always a big draw for Black Friday shoppers. Last year there were more than 4,600 advertised Black Friday deals for toys and games (down from 5,300 in 2014) with more than 1,800 deals less than $20. The decrease was due partly to less overall discounts (% off, B1G1) on individual items and more focus on actual prices. The usual suspects dominated this category with 400+ Disney toy deals (Frozen could easily become its own brand), 300_ LEGO deals and a strong showing from Nerf, Skylander, Fisher-Price, Vtech and Transformers.
FatWallet.com 2015 Black Friday Predictions
The big holiday toy lists are already floating around the web with some decent early sales hitting pre-holiday shoppers in mid-September this year. Star Wars has made quite the buzz via not only Walmart and Force Friday, but the revitalized toy Empire currently holds ad space on nearly every bigbox retail site and brand integration (Nerf and LEGO Star Wars items) we fully expect this competitive landscape to drive some excellent price-wars on this year’s toy doorbusters, including the Star Wars BB-8 Droid R/C and the BladeBuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber.
Smart and interactive toys will be smokin’ hot, including Bright Beats Dance & Move BeatBo from Fisher-Price, Imaginext Ultra T-Rex, VTech Kiddie Zoom Action Cam, the Meccanoid G15 and Guitar Hero Live. Leapfrog’s new LeapPad Platinum and Imagicards will rule the Black Friday kids tablet deals category.
+2,000 $20 toys
Star Wars toys will be most popular

Bigger RC and Robotic toys #1 KID’S CHOICE
Leapfrog LeapPad Platinum less than $100
Many current TOY deals already surpass last year’s Black Friday deals on Disney Frozen items, Paw Patrol toys, Nerf and Strike Modules, and dozens of branded RC and robotic toys. Expect retailers to raise the bar again come Thanksgiving Day, if not before during early Black Friday sales.
