People will be better off having entered marketplace exchanges even if options worsen under the Trump administration, experts say
...Sherry Glied, a New York University professor whose research has focused on health reform [said,] “It could be that the replacement plan is just a horrible plan – just for the sake of argument – imagine that is true. Even if that is true, there will be special efforts made to protect the people that are in.”
Glied also added that if Republicans dismantled state-based exchanges, for example, it could undermine people’s future chances of getting insurance.
“In some sense, before this all happened, you could say: ‘All right, if I don’t get in I pay the penalty and that’s terrible,’” Glied said. “What could happen now is if you don’t get in [by the Jan 31 deadline, which is TODAY], and something happens to [your health in the future], you could never get in.” "
===================================================================================== ===================================================================================== Note: I do not intend this to be a thread on opinions about the health insurance situation -- this post is ONLY meant to be a public service announcement that the DEADLINE IS TODAY.
If you have any comments about the general health insurance situation in the US, please start a new thread about it in the Fatwallet FINANCE forum

I never said I didn't have a narrow-in-scope thread.
My thread in Finance is about the following particular topic: "What, realistically, is going to happen to the ACA/Obamacare at the end of January, and in the 1st Q of 2017"
If people want to discuss THAT topic, they should head on over to my thread, and opine away.
If, however, they want to discuss, as I wrote above, "the general health insurance situation in the US", then people are welcome to "start a new thread about it in the Fatwallet FINANCE forum," as I wrote above.
