Any discounts out there to get AAA Membership?

And does the membership need to be registered to the address on the Driver's License? Or can a second-home address be used?

Thanks!

If you're mainly interested in roadside assistance see what it would cost to add it to your auto insurance policy. Ours is something like $9 a year through State Farm.

But wouldn't your insurance company raise your premiums if you were ever to actually use it?

We have used it at least three times in the past year (flat tires, dead batteries).  No.

AAA is really pretty useless these days IMO. Their discounts are pretty useless (and most places still give the discounts even if you show them your expired card - since they never look) and no one needs "trip-tix" anymore. Their auto and home insurance is VERY expensive compared to all others (just bought a new home and they were MOST expensive comparing identical c overages). Their towing distance is limited and it only covers one person without paying extra fees for spouse.. My auto insurance gives much better coverage for next to nothing.

The link works for me. I'm in Southern California. I guess the deal is limited to either only So Cal or only certain geographic areas.

Basically what the deal is is a $19 reduction in the one-time admission fee from $20 to only $1 and then they add in $49 (the charge for classic membership). They also throw in a stainless steel, hot and cold beverage container as a gift—a $25 value. I even got an additional $4.50 off by signing up for autopay (you can cancel autopay at anytime). So I got my a year of AAA Classic membership for $45.50. It came in real Handy as my car won't start and I need to tow it to get it fixed.
