Read an article from 9to5mac and various other news outlets that says Apple will repair devices that were damaged from Hurricane Harvey.

All our thoughts and prayers go out to all victims of this devastating natural disaster.

is there a time limit to repair?

Makes sense.  You know Apples motto: "Think different about Harvey...forget Irma."

wow we know that wont be abused....

There is no mention of time limit on the repair. I'm sure many people will take advantage of this, victims or not.

I 'evacuated' to New England, but not before Hurricane Harvey cracked my screen. Can I go to a local Apple Store, or do I have to drive 'back' to Texas to get it repaired?

Talk to the people at Apple. They may need proof that you lived in the effected area.
