tinkakat said: why don,t we make this the daily ring+ thread like they do on sd. death, taxes, and ring+ You can't use this phone on any plan other than a Sprint Pre-Paid (possibly post paid?) until it has been used in good standing on Sprint Prepaid for at least 12 months. This policy is in force since April of this year. So can't be used on boost, VM, Ting, Ring Plus, or any other Sprint MVNO's out of the box.
Ring + has a lot of threads, up to a few daily because: 1 They try to, (its part of the marketing of the company) 2, There is often something new going available there. 3. What they offer is convoluted enough to warrant discussion. 4. The offerings are unique in the industry. 5. The value/price ratio for many types of users is outstanding.
The only thing close in value/price is Freedom Pop. While Freedom Pop does offer some international and roaming capabilities that are not available on Ring Plus. RingPlus Voice is not VOIP and often works better. They have greater free monthly data allotments. The Freedom Pop web site .... well enough said.

You cant use this on Sprint post-paid either. They only allow Boxed pre-paid Sprint phones, on pre-paid service.

These make great remote controls that you can put on your wifi. If this is the Volt 1 then it should have an IR port also. It is worth the $20 just for the apps you can run on it. eg Roku, LG remote, and WMC wifi remote on mine.
EDIT: looks like out of stock now.
