is this a good laptop, can we go for it?

The Lenovo 310 is cheaper ($279).    But it only has 4GB RAM  (vs 8GB) and the keyboard right shift key is smaller.

If you have a computer to trade in, you can take a $100 off making it $299.99. Look at Staples. com for details.

I'd like to get one if the screen be reduced to 15''

Thanks for the pointers. I see nothing more than $20 for HP or Dell

Read the store ad. You'll need to go into a store to do so and they would do a Kiosk order to order you the laptop. The store is required to verify what is being traded in.

That is a nice machine for the price that you linked. Its an i3 vs the OP's i5 also. But, its the newest i3 and scores better than the older i5 in the OP. Not sure how easy it is to add memory, but 4gb of DDR4 is cheap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820242126&...

Go back to the ad: Devices regularly priced $499 or more. Items's with instant rebates count even if they net below $499.

Is the price $399 is after trade-in ..? So $499 if no trade-in..?

  No, $299, $399.

The add I see is showing $339 after trade-in.

I wish it had backlit key board

This one that's posted is not in the weekly ad, and is an i5 with a 15.6" screen.
The $339.99 you're referring to in the ad, is most likely the i3 with a 14" screen.

Great find, had it in my shopping cart yesterday and now it's $399. Hate that I hesitated.
