Unlike last year, it seems that gift cards are not counting towards the free turkey. So it might be worth it waiting until Black Friday when in previous years it has been $20 off your next shopping order for buying a gift card.

No reason to wait. This is still a $4mm in groceries after a $5.95 fee for a $100 card,  even more for people who have a 3-5% back in rewards for grocery charges on their CC. you can do it again for BF.
