Is this really a deal? Hardware from 2012 for $800? Intel made lots of progress with CPU energy consumption since then, not to mention all the other components...

  Don't know if the price is good or not, but somewhere around this time period is the end of being able to open up and replace the RAM, drive and battery.

  This might be the last one, can put 16GB of RAM and and SSD in it...but still, is it a good deal? I think new ones usually sell for $1200-1300 MSRP and there're usually some decent BB deals posted here. Looking forward to learning more about new MBP specs and prices in an hour or so.
