How do these differ from the regular pads?

there are also generic versions available. These are incredible at removing marks from walls. I think they are made of melamine. they have a sponge-like feel. They clean off marks (pen, pencil, crayon) with water. They do break down faster than a regular sponge, so you will probably use one each time to clean a sizeable section. BTW, I am not familiar with the Bath version of the magic eraser. If these were the basic magic erasers, this price would be okay (good sales price, but likely available every few months). The Bath version is probably more expensive (my guess), so this may be even better.

Think of this as a type of fine sand paper.

My counterpart and I started using the Mr. Clean brand of these about 2-3 years ago. I was amazed how well they worked on various surfaces but disappointed that they broke down quickly. Started looking for them in bulk on eBay because they broke down so quickly and found that I could get generic ones CHEAP. I bought 100 of them, from China for $6 delivered. At a quick look I found THESE which are about the same price.
