These knives are definitely not worth $289 and probably not even $140.

These are stamped knives, not forged.

If you want a set of stamped knives there is a Chicago cutlery set for $30 posted on here recently that would be nearly as good as this set.

I recommend spending money on one good forged chef's knife like a Henckels four star or Wusthof classic series.

German steel crafted in China!!!That said , the best machine gun I ever worked with in Army ordinance was the Gewher MG42 which  was better than the machined and forged MG 34.  The US ARMY 60 years later still uses a NATO version of the MG42 known as the M-60. Only differences are the 7.62mm Nato round instead of the 7.92 and the use of the Bruno/Enfield  barrel quick release. I will take the MG 42 any day over any other light machine gun made.  The only better machine gun is ht even older Ma Deuce.
