This is an Onkyo TX-NR646 (OP, can you put that in the title, please?).
It's 'last year's model', now supplanted by the TX-NR65... but here's a chance to get a good receiver at a very good price.

So, it would seem you know your receivers. Is the Onkyo TX-NR656=12.0pt a better receiver than Onkyo TX-NR646. It would seem looking at the specs the 656 dropped some of the processing specs. The 646 has Dolby EX, DTS Neo6 where the 656 does not. Besides the difference in processing the only difference I saw was weight – the 656 ways more than 646. Better components in 656????Also, is there a reason these fairly expensive receivers do not have HD Radio built in?=12.0pt

Updated title, thanks for the heads up!

this time of year is great to get a home theater, due to new models coming out. I paid $329 for a TX-NR636 last January so this is a really good price.

Good deal but it's now OOS!

For those that already got one, here are more detailed specs and info:

Can't believe they didn't add video streaming via DLNA (it has it for audio only)
