Mr0ffic3r said: The Samsung S7 has been dipping in the low $300 range lately... What, if any, are the reasons to chose this one over the S7? The sale you mentioned lasted just a few days. And those phones are locked. You must have a plan with AT&T or Sprint. I think the $300-400 range should be the fair pricing of smart phones. Nowadays, the difference between brands are getting smaller. The quality of a $300-400 phone from Huawei Honor or 1Plus is very close to that of a $700 Samsung. Too bad, US carriers are not selling them on their websites. Most people never heard of these brands.

There was an eBay deal a few days ago where the final price with coupon was $383 for the unlocked Duos version of S7 (not the Edge, though).
Mr0ffic3r said: There was a woot deal 2 days ago for $315 or so for an unlocked S7 - Refurb though
One of my Woot Refurb./unlocked purchases (not on S7) was sim-locked after a month or a month and a half or so daily use. T-Mo said the usual that someone didn't finish paying the phone then locked by the sytem, and there's nothing they can do for me. Just be forewarned.
Woot saved the day though - took back the phone and gave full refund. Woot!
