Bought one a couple years ago for my daughter, a 2nd grade teacher... she loves it. Also have one for myself, it is a good printer. Generic toner is available, buy mine at Amazon for just under $30 for all 4 toner cartridges.

Is there a specific company on Amazon you recommend for the generic cartridges?

Just an FYI, this is an older series that doesn't support Airprint or Google Cloud.

And I buy EPS Brand from Amazon. So far no issues.

I bought from Greensky, but haven't used them yet. One reason I bought from them was "3-Years 100% Quality Guarantee ensures that you will get quality printouts with our compatible or remanufactured cartridges. Any problems under normal circumstance, demand for a return is acceptable". My reasoning is if they are still around, Amazon would shut them down if they don't honor their own guarentee.

I believe my daughter has been using EPS, and has been happy with the results. EPS does state "EPS is proud to offer LIFETIME WARRANTY for all its Premium Compatible Toner Cartridges."   I would not hesitate using them at all.

Thanks! I appreciate both of your suggestions!

Keep in mind if you really want AirPrint or google cloud a simple cups server running on a raspberry pi or other Linux machine is pretty trivial.
