Good deal. 6000btu one costs the same.

Thanks! In for one!

Good price. The price is also being matched at the 'zon.

The trick is to use foil tape and then the great stuff. Foil peels clean with a little heat. No issues when I was a renter and had to restore windows to original condition.

Yes. The price is same with Amazon. But the review is only 3.7 in Amazon while it is 4.6 in WalMart. So I am doubtful about its quality.

perfect for my garage. Thanks!

More attractive/slimmer/lighter AC window units are right around the corner, so if you can holdoff, I would. Example: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kurt/noria-cool-redefined

That's going to be like at least a year away if it materializes at all.  Cool concept though.

That's only 5,000 BTU. And it's $300. Plus shipping. And not in production. And not made by a company that's been around for 100 years.

WOW, that is VERY COOL!  Available in 2018..

Pulls 7.5 Amps and loud? Maybe in 10 years there will be something better.

Should there be a hole on the bottom for drainage ? round tab on bottom still in place.

While cool I'm not sure what market they're targeting. Surely almost all of those with the money to appreciate the features of the Noria (at 3x the price/BTU at MSRP) have central air. So maybe for vacation houses you don't use much in the summer? If they made it work for RVs or boats or with a bidirection heat pump for mild climates they'd have a couple solid niche markets. If they made it DC and powerwall friendly they'd have a solid niche for offgrid applications (but probably too dependent on Tesla).

Yeah.  It's been about 2 years since the kickstarter project that I funded was supposed to deliver.  Why produce anything on kickstarter when there is no downside to just stealing people's money and never producing anything?!  In fact, it saves money that way!

Thanks OP.  I had to install a unit like this in my bedroom because even though I have central air, my wife thinks it's hot if it's not 66 in the bedroom at night.  I can't afford to put my entire central air upstairs on that temp.  (And it the summer it would never make it to that temp.)

Great unit. Very quiet when compared to other cheaper models. Guess you get what you pay for.
