Reviews are spotty on Amazon and manufacture appears to be dead with no updates to the phone. Might as well buy a windows phone.

I love it when people talk about things they really don't know about. When buying a new phone at this price level it's almost a guarantee you won't get any updates so that point is invalid. Also to say the manufacturer is dead shows your ignorance. Yes they were sold to Razer at the beginning of the year. However since that sale the phone received Android 7.0 and just recently 7.1.1. That in itself is pretty amazing, very few mainstream phones or flagship phones for that matter would get 2 OS updates that quick let alone from a "dead" manufacturer. While it's highly unlikely the phone will get another major update as it approaches EOL, it's not unreasonable to expect a security update or two.

This phone certainly has it's pros and cons. The stock launcher is no good but easily fixable. The front facing speakers are quite week. The camera certainly isn't flagship level and frankly wasn't good enough for the phones initial price of $400. But at $100 it's a great camera, just download another camera app like Google camera and it performs a bit better. Battery life is below average but quick charge helps.

With any phone purchase we all should do our due diligence and read reviews and weigh the pros and cons. We just need to keep in mind the current price point when evaluating these purchases. And finally if you don't know anything about a product do everyone else a favor and post elsewhere.
