Bump for the start of the offer.

At least as of the time of this post, Office Depot has not updated the price of the batteries. I do not believe there is any rush in making the purchase as OD has never run out of the Duracell Coppertops AFAIK. The Quantums, yes, but not the Coppertops.

But how does one monetize the rewards?

Price has finally updated to $13.99 ... at least for me.

Buying postage stamps is how I do it. That is about as close to monetizing it as you are going to get these days.

Since this is a fixed rewards amount, will I get rewards back if I pay with rewards? I know usually the answer is "no" but I remember one person a while back posting he paid with rewards and got rewards back because the rewards amount was fixed.

Off topic but has anyone received their June ink recycling and/or "regular" rewards certificate yet?
(I received my 100% back on Pilot G-2 pens from a late June purchase more than a week ago but not my ink and regular June rewards yet.)
Thanks for any info about this.

Thanks for any info about this.

Office Depot is running late according to custom but not terms on many Rewards earned in June.

The Rewards Certificates from Rewards points -- Standard Rewards, Percentage Bonus Rewards and Recycling Rewards -- earned in a month are generally available by the middle of the month after they are earned. From what I have read, these Rewards Certificates have been made available no later than the 14th of the month for the past year so Office Depot is clearly running late at least according to custom. Still, according to the terms of the old program, Office Depot does have up to 30 days after the end of the month to make the Rewards Certificates available.

And just wondering, did you purchase the Pilot pens in June or on July 01?

------------------------------------------------------------------

I purchased the pens  twice -- one package on June 30 and then another one on July 1.
I received my 100% back Rewards for my July 1st purchase first, then about a week later for my June 30th one, but that was after I called Customer Service to ask about the June purchase.  I don't know whether the phone call prompted the release of the June 100% Rewards or not.

Thanks. AFAIK, the Rewards for June purchases of the pens -- for those who have not contacted Rewards customer service -- has not been paid out yet.

I just contacted OD by live chat. The rep said they are running behind for June because of the program changeover. He assured me that the June certificates will be issued by the end of this week.

I've always received my battery rewards without any problem.

OD has a promo for 30% off $30 of Back-to-School items. What if one purchases the Duracell batteries and some filler to reach the $30 amount. Will OD still pay out Rewards for the batteries (at the discounted amount paid?

Yes, in this case they will pay the full $27.96 rewards for the 2 packs of batteries even if you use a coupon since the rewards amount is fixed ($13.98) as opposed to a percentage (i.e., 100%). When it's a percentage, they only pay rewards based on the final net price you pay after coupons.
