If I needed a basic drill/driver this is the one I would get.  "Backed by the RIDGID Lifetime Service Agreement. Register this Drill/Driver Kit and get FREE Batteries. FREE Parts. FREE Service. FOR LIFE."
As long as Home Depot is around you get a lifetime warranty on the drill, including replacement batteries.

Don't think it's gonna work for me but this kinda shit is quite cool lol

We use this and the similar impact driver 1-2 hours every day at work. LOVE 'em. Damn battery charges in ~20 minutes. There's often a combo deal for both.

My ridgid stuff has way outlasted all my Dewalt stuff. I've had great luck with ridgid.

Don't use the term "lifetime warranty" & Ridgid in the same sentence. It doesn't exist. The have a 'lifetime service agreement," which does not offer as much protection to the customer as the other. Other sites have stories regarding this fine line.

While you can get bad batteries swapped at some HD's, the service is actually through Ridgid. So it would be more a matter if Ridgid is still around, though with their parent company TTI owning them, Ryobi & Milwaukee, I forsee they will be around for considerable future.

I have been using this drill virtually everyday in my job for about 3 years. The battery still holds great. I have registered this drill, impact drill, and recip saw with them (along with the accessories) , but have not had to use the warranty yet. I also just purchased this deal from HD online on Thursday and it arrived the next day. I just registered my new drill about 15 mins ago.

I have used all sorts of drills for my HVAC business. I bought these for the warranty, but they are the best I have used in 20 years.

For $69, it's a no brainer.
