Here is a way to work thru the lists to make the best selection.
Select and copy all the data from your model's web page into an Excel spreadsheet.
Sort by your criteria.
Delete the units that don't fit.

Unfortunately, most of these items are gone already. This is the same list as they've had up there for weeks with reduced prices. I just found two laptops still on the list that I was ready to order 2 weeks ago, but they were already gone. If you can find one that is actually available, then it will be a great deal.

That is why I posted. This is brand new inventory. Stop being a hater because you weren't able to find something before. I checked 2 or 3 with my sales rep and they were all available.

UPDATE 10/11 as I've been able to confirm, there are still T61s available, I was able to get one (finally). Lady I spoke to initially yesterday obviously didn't do her research

Just got off the phone with a sales associate. Of the 4 part numbers I inquired about, 3 of them were available. The 4 part numbers belonged to X61, X61s and X61T.
I'm a proud new owner of an X61T!

Only 12" laptop needs a Docking station for CD/DVD drive. Bigger sizes does comes with CD/DVD drive.

can anyone comment on the usefulness of the tablet w/ multitouch? i've been thinking of getting either a mac or a thinkpad with the digitizer. if the touch screen is nothing more than a gimmick, i'll opt for a cheaper thinkpad or go with the mac.
