Just received this notice today:


We're pleased to let you know that your Chase Freedom credit card is being updated with new purchase protection benefits. Here's a look at what's new:
- Purchase Protection - Receive 60-day coverage for theft or damage to your eligible purchase - up to $250
- Return Protection - Get a refund up to $250 for any eligible return a store won't accept
- Price Protection - Get a refund for the difference in price - up to $250 - during the first 60 days after your eligible purchase
- Extended Protection - Double the time period of the original U.S. manufacturer's eligible warranty for up to one additional year.

Your new benefits will automatically take effect on August 2, 2010.

Please note, the above benefits replace Purchase Security and Warranty Manager. Travel Accident Insurance and Baggage Delay Coverage are being discontinued.

Did you notice that the purchase protection only kicks in if you exceed what your home owner (or renters) insurance will cover? That's ridiculous.

And again, this card isn't worth it. Jesus they're flooding me with mail on their 5% rotated crap.
