boa offer
I rarely use my two BoA cards.
Got an email says to call and tell them why I don't use the card and then they will enroll me in $150 cash back after $500 spend.  Haven't done it yet but will update on results

Edit: Further background info ->  Received offer on a BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature card with $1500 limit that I last made a payment in Oct 2015, so almost exactly 12 months of inactivity.   I did not get the offer on my BoA Iowa card with $14500 limit, which I haven't made a payment since 2013.   Guess I should make a purchase on that one to keep it active....
I also received an email about 3 months ago that was identical (saying to call a number, but 5183 instead of 5181, to discuss why i wasn't using it) without the $150 offer.  So, if you receive an email like that - it might make sense to ignore it and wait 3 months.

Funny, I didn't use my BofA card for a year and they emailed me threatening to close it if I didn't use it. No nice bonus or anything.

I'm glad I just did a small charge on all my cards last month to keep them active!

The rare case where the account going inactive might prove to be fruitful. I called them up and the promo's supposed to be added to the acct as of today. Spent ~13 minutes on the call first going over why I don't use their cards (Chase rewards $$$$, Citi +24mo extended warranties), then the rep said he noticed I recently had a balance on other cards and tried to sell me on a balance transfer offer that he said was only good during the call... crazily high 4% transfer fee for ~8 months of 0% hahaha.

$12 WalMart and $500(+$2.35 convenience fee) electric utility payment = now it's just a waiting game to see when the credit posts .

$150 PROMO STATEMENT CREDIT applied 1 day before the statement cut, on 10/24. Bill arrived with ~$360 due on $510 charges.
