I got an offer for this card, $300 bonus with $3000 spend (normally $250/$5000), 0% on purchases for 9 months, 5% back on wireless phone service and office supply, 3% from one category (choices are rental car, hotels, airfare, etc), 1% all other purchases, no annual fee.  There is a 2.7% foreign transaction fee but I won't be using it for travel.  Really all I'd use it for is pay for my Verizon service after getting the $300 bonus.  I'd cancel the BCP since all I use it for is 6% back on groceries but I'm not sure it's worth $95 annual fee.  Primary cards are CSR, Sams Club MC, Discover for rotating categories.

Should I get this card or is there a better offer out there?

Well, there are cards out there with better signup bonuses (e.g. Merrill Edge), but for cards with a good signup bonus *and* reason to keep/use them long-term, this one is a really good deal.  I got this card last year on a similar bonus offer and have made great use of it.  The initial bonus was nice, of course, and I immediately started using it as my wireless and office supplies card.  Additional spending on AmEx offers has netted me over $200 in cashback.  This fall, they offered a special spend $5,000 get an extra $50 bonus (through 4/30), which makes it a >2% card on the additional amount I had to spend over what I was already putting on the card.  And for Nov-Dec, they offered an extra 1% on any "small business" purchase, which goosed the rewards even a bit more on my required spend.

I'd recommend this offer.

Chris.

It's a good offer, but there are others. I accepted an offer, $500 for $5,000 spent and a second $500 for reaching $10,000 in 3 months.

The $300 offer is the only one I can comfortably make in the time allotted.  Even though his is a biz card I don't actually have a business.
