In researching the "bank" I kept getting a site that said Bofifederalbank, an i instead of l in the address. Although a California address cones up when I researcged BofI a financial institution in Nigeria comes up. What's up with that? Nigeria is where all those phone/text/email scams come from.

There is a legit BofI bank in the US. It was tied to those Netspend/Brinks cards that used to offer the 5% savings rates. They use one other bank as well, Metabank I think but not positive.
