Steps:
1. Download barcode to phone
2. Go to Speedway gas station, Kum and Go, D&W Fresh Market, Family Faire, or V&G supermarkets
3. Ask clerk to scan barcode and add "Amazon Cash" to your Amazon account.
4. Reap 5-6% cashback with Amex BlueCash or a 5% gascard.  This assumes the transaction is coded as gas station or supermarket.  Anyone try this yet?

Is this any different than purchasing Amazon gift cards at grocery stores or gas stations?

If you use Amazon credit card it automatically gives you 5% off anyway

so why bother with this?

You can get 6% at grocery stores with Amex...

Also, purchasing GCs may be limited to certain denominations at grocery stores.

Not sure if there are other advantages.  Just wanted to pass along the option!

... but the GCs just credit to your account??

Also, you lose credit card protections this way (and supplemental insurance)

If it's an electronic item, I'd rather get 2 extra yrs of warranty purchasing with my Citi CC.
