For anyone who might have neglected already to do so, suggest you activate your Chase Freedom Q2 5% rewards.  One of the Q2 categories is groceries.

In the past, when Sallie Mae was among the living, this Chase Freedom thing was no big deal.  I didn't even bother with it.

That was then.  This is now.  Starting April first you will have three months to buy a combination of groceries and/or gift cards up to the maximum of $1500.

But you have to activate the deal before you commence spending.

Other 5% Q2 categories?  Probably.  But my spending will all be on groceries.
