Hi Guys. We want to get new windows at our house. One company offered us 18 months 0% to pay for them. the other has no special financing. The one without financing seems to be a better company. I was thinking about getting a credit card with 0% intro balance and paying with it.

My question is, if I apply for a new card and the limit isn't high enough, will limit transferred over from other cards still get the 0% intro rate? I am looking at the Chase Slate and I have a high limit Sapphire card that I never use. I also have options with BOA as I have 2 high limit cards with them. Thank you.

That worked for me recently with Barclay - their Ring card has a good BT offer now. I assume it would work with any issuer who will do a limit reallocation. I haven't tried that with Chase.

Sign up for Slate. If your credit limit is too low, try contacting Chase and see if you can reallocate some of your Sapphire credit line to the Slate. You won't be able to do this if you already put the expense on your Sapphire so you may want to use the BOA for the purchase or make the purchase after you've reallocated your Chase credit lines (which may mean you need to buy with the BOA anyway).

Thanks Guys!

Chase allowed me to reallocate my limit from one card to another.

This worked for me a couple years ago with Chase Slate. Applied, increased limit from another Chase card, balance transfer for close to limit.

I was able to reallocate CL's by SM Chase with "remove $x from card ending xxxx, apply $x to card ending yyyy"
