60,000 point bonus

This has always been great when it's 50,000 in order to get two cards and land the companion pass.  However, it would still always leave you 6000 points short so the money would have to be spent elsewhere.  This gives you 120,000 total and no need to spend anything more than the $2000 required for the bonus in 3 months on each card.

It's showing available on both the Plus and the Premier card, both personal and business.  No idea how long it's lasting but can't imagine it will be for long.

Here's the finance thread with more details on how to get the companion pass

Easy formula for getting a free companion pass for the rest of 2014 (2017) and all of 2015 (2018) (Companion flies for free whenever and wherever you fly)

Apply for both Personal and Business Cards (it doesn't matter if it's the $69 annual fee or $99 annual fee one - I've always done the $69 ones)

Personal: $2K spending = 50,000 + 2000 points from the spending
Business: $2K spending = 50,000 + 2000 points from the spending

Between these two cards, spend another $6000 between now and the end of this year = 6000 points

50,000 + 2,000 + 50,000 + 2,000 + 6,000 = 110,000 points = Companion Pass

Do Rapid Rewards points expire with inactivity?

Expire after 2 years of inactivity.
BTW, points redemption is NOT an activity. The last date points were earned is what is used for the 2 year clock.

And it's pretty easy to earn a few points on your Rapid Rewards account to keep them alive. Easiest ways: buy something via the Rapid Rewards "shopping portal" - e.g. Best Buy's website and many others. Login to your SW account, go to the portal, and enter the shopping site (like Best Buy) from there then make your purchase.

Or, sign up for the Rapid Rewards Dining program. Register ANY credit card (not necessarily a SW Visa card - even an Amex would work), then use that card at select restaurants in your area. In some areas, even Burger King is part of the program. Go in and buy a soda with your registered credit card, earn 2-3 points, and keep your SW points alive for two more years.

Easy enough, thanks
