I don't think any of those are actually periodicals - at least they're not periodicals on the Kindle. They're old issues that have been re-released as ebooks.

Maybe title needs '1800's'?

Whatever others may call them, I downloaded a dozen and read the first few pages of a story about Napoleon. Very interesting reading, and I am not by any means a history buff, but it is interesting to see what people were into 100+ years ago.

Green to OP. Some of these are absolutely fascinating to read. And I'm still amazed at the Kindle and how literally all the world's greatest books can be in your hands in about a minute.
