I've had really bad experience with seagate in the past, for the extra $10 I'll take WD over Seagate any day...

Wonder what type of drive is inside. Is it the green drive?

Can you remove the drive from the enclosure and just pop in into your computer like a normal hard drive?

Yes, Seagate drive should be avoided - got 3 dead drives recently, one was 6mo old only.

Externals are priced cheaper than internals because you only get 1yr warranty vs 3/5yr on internals.

They are saying the price in the 4th quarter will be close to that before the flooding. Paid $110 for that at BB last October.

Who is 'they'?

really good price, besides WD is more reliable than Seagate
