SWTOR is a MMORPG that used to require a $15 a month subscription, but went free to play on November 15th without severely crippling its features.

Indeed, they managed to do that before the initial launch, so they didn't need to do it before the conversion to free-play.

(Kidding aside, green to OP for pointing this out. The game wasn't to my taste, but I'm not always right )

Please add "nerd alert" to the title.

You actually did it! Green for you!

no mac version

I installed this a couple of "knights" ago. It's actually quite fun, the graphics and gameplay are nice, and the storyline has me engaged. I heard from a friend that there is no level cap for this either. Only trouble are some of the limitations they put on you if you aren't a paid subscriber or are purchasing any of their cartel credits. For a free game, I'm getting a lot out of it!

If you aren't a fan of MMO's, Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2 are on sale on Steam right now:

Knights of the Old Republic - $2.49

Knights of the Old Republic II - $2.49

get alot of 9000 server errors, there a zillion references to search from. is there a patch or fix to resolve this
