It's not smoking, but I needed a new laptop for my wife's graduate work (Excel/Matlab/light modeling) and struggled to find a better deal on a quality i5. Tax & Env. fee brought it up to $439.36 OTD in CA.

Most of the reviews I read stated that the Refurb was good as new, no discernible marks or broken-ness about it.
