yes, this may not be for everyone - but 21% off is a good deal for those looking to install (or upgrade) their Miele espresso machine. Originally go for > $4k and yes, this is a luxury item!

We have one of these (installed by the previous owner) and absolutely LOVE it! Fresh ground coffee anytime

Miele Miele CVA 4066 Espresso Machine

Can't be that hot a deal, it is the same price at ABT.com as well (an authorized Miele vendor): http://www.abt.com/product/39501/Miele-CVA4066SS.html

And a quick search shows it can be found for even less.

Nothing this Delonghi cant do for 1/6th of the price. I own one and mine has probably made over 3000 shots in 3 years and still works just fine!

Hurry, only 5 left in stock

If I had a butler, he better have that bad a$$ machine Kato made in the green hornet...

Never trust the preparation of your espresso to a superautomatic. 4K is a lot to spend for subpar (at best) espresso.

well, like I said - it was built in when we bought the house

what do you recommend for a good espresso?

Sure, if it's built in, and you like, then by all means, enjoy!

However, for those looking to get into it a bit more, there's four broad components of what makes good espresso - the beans, the grinder, the espresso machine, and the skill of the individual making the espresso. For a setup with a bit more user control, you can probably get a decent "prosumer" (such a silly word) setup starting at a grand or so. There's lots of discussion on this topic over at coffeegeek.com and home-barista.com, two great sites with loads of information on where to go to get started.

E.g., this thread on buying a setup under 1K.

Either that or a local shop that knows what they're doing (although not exactly a hot deal!)
