Now that the Nikon D5200 is out (a minor upgrade), retailers are closing out last year's well regarded D5100. $369 is a real cheap price for a mid-range Nikon SLR. New D5100 cameras cost $540. New D5200 cameras cost around $800. These prices are body-only, which is great for people upgrading from the old Nikon Dxx cameras and already have Nikon AF-S lenses. If you need one, refurb kit lenses are also cheap at Cameta. Instead of the limited 18-55 kit lens (about $80), why not get the wider range 18-105 for $189 (regularly $400).

Why are you giving me red? The description always said refurb (multiple times). And the new camera costs $170 more (almost 50% more). The new lens costs $210 more (more than double the price).
New body goes for about $400, where you getting $170 more???
Where are you finding a new D5100 body for $400? On Cameta, the D5100 body is $540. On Amazon, it is $497. Even the refurbs on Amazon are $430 and up. These prices already heavily discounted since the D5200 came out.

Cameta also has the 18-55mm VR refurbished for $90.
Also, Newegg has refurbished D5100 + 18-55mm VR for $460 after $20 coupon (coupon listed in product page, ends 1/31/2013).
